Suzanne Pearlman, MA, is a nationally recognized specialist in curricula development, training programs, as well as a subject matter expert in cultural adaptations of standardized curricula with a focus on equity and access.
Current work experience includes designing and implementing innovative curricula content for a broad range of partnerships; technical assistance and training to universities, colleges and TRIO programs; developing and advancing evidence-based content for virtual and in-person training environments for the National Council for Mental Wellbeing; serving as a National Trainer for Mental Health First Aid USA in teen, youth, adult and corporate curricula; developing and implementing a training and technical assistance mentorship program for Tribal AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education) program; consulting with local state departments on implementation of culturally appropriate training content; development of public health training video series; and provision of customized wellbeing workshops in higher education, national service programs and corporate settings.
Ms. Pearlman's innovative curricula development has addressed topics such as psychological safety, adult education, trauma informed facilitation, social and emotional learning, autism, LGBTQ+ youth, etc. As well as, specialized content for Indigenous communities, university faculty and staff, mental health provider agencies, and National Service organizations.
Prior to consulting, Ms. Pearlman led behavioral health system transformation efforts and developed curricula at state and national levels that effectively engaged diverse communities; Tribes and Pueblos; child welfare and juvenile justice systems; managed care entities; city and county governments; law enforcement; and educational system partners toward improved, culturally-informed curricula and training programs.
